Sustainable silicone products for personal care | in-cosmetics global 2024 in Paris

From 16 to 18 April 2024, CHT’s silicone experts will present among others a recycled silicone product for hair care and a new skin care additive with excellent film forming properties and a long-lasting effect for color cosmetics at the leading global event for personal care ingredients in Paris.

Recycled Silicone for Sustainable Personal Care

Silicones are essential components of skin care, hair care, and color cosmetic additives. As part of CHT’s ongoing endeavor to expand its range of environmentally friendly chemicals, CHT's silicone experts created a product intended for use in Personal Care application based on recycled monomers made from end-of-life silicone polymers. 
With over 94 % recycled monomers, CHT-BeauSil™ RE-AMO 919 EM is a sugar-modified silicone that provides the same product quality as traditionally produced silicones. Shampoos, conditioners, and other water-based hair care products can all be formulated with the emulsion which contains extremely little cyclomethicone and is free from PEG-based surfactants and MIT. The product leaves a natural softness on the hair without weighing down and improves the combing and the look. 

 

Additional Cutting-Edge Skin Care Product

CHT-BeauSil™ WAX 018 is a high alkyl modified silicone wax, a stearylmethicone, with excellent film forming properties and a long-lasting effect for color cosmetics. The product can be utilized to boost silicone resins with excellent sensory qualities and is a perfect substitute for film formers based on acrylic.
