2023
70th anniversary of the CHT Group since the company was founded by Reinhold Beitlich.
CHT Group opens new production and sales locations in Bangladesh, Vietnam and Singapore.
CHT Bangladesh Pvt. Ltd., CHT Ho Chi Minh City Company Limited and CHT Distribution APAC Pte. Ltd. extent the group of companies to a total of 28.
2019
Expansion of the Construction & Assembly business field through acquisition of keim additec surface GmbH.
2017
New corporate identity and new group-wide brand appearance "Smart Chemistry with Character".
Expansion of silicones business through acquisition of ICM Silicones Group.
2015
Publication of the first group-wide sustainability report.
Expansion of the paper business through acquisition of Quimipel Indústria Química Ltda. in Brazil.
2010
Acquisition of "Alpina Technische Produkte GmbH" in Geretsried and expansion of silicone competence.
2000
Further diversification with the establishment of the Construction, Performance Chemicals and Textile Care business fields.

Commitment to act in the spirit of the worldwide Responsible Care initiative.
BEZEMA becomes ETAD member.
1997
Acquisition of HTC in Oyten – establishment of the production site for silicone chemistry.
1996
CHT continues to expand its measures to protect the environment through modernization and certification.
1988
With Australia, the last remaining continent is opened up. CHT is a "global player totally focused on textiles".
1983
CHT is transformed into a foundation (Beitlich Family Foundation & Reinhold Beitlich Social Foundation).
1980
Incorporation of textile dyes. Extension of the building (office and laboratory wing).
BEZEMA becomes worldwide competence center for dyes.
1972
The production site in Dußlingen goes into operation.
1971
Formation of BEZEMA AG in Switzerland by CHT R. Beitlich GmbH and its founder Reinhold Beitlich.
1960
Start of the growth phase with the foundation of our own companies worldwide.
The first milestones are Austria, France, South Africa and Switzerland.
1953
Reinhold Beitlich founds CHT as Chemische Fabrik Tübingen.
The founder of CHT was an entrepreneur – and this long before he established CHT in Tübingen. Coming from humble farming origins, Beitlich, at just 22 years of age, managed the Yugoslavian overseas subsidiary of his former training company, the Dresden-based chemical firm Th. Böhme KG.
After Beitlich and his family were displaced from there following the war, he began, in 1947, manufacturing and selling textile chemicals in Nuremberg together with two old colleagues from Böhme KG. Being employed by someone else would have been completely foreign to him. Independence and entrepreneurial activity were part of his very nature. This led him, in 1948 in Erlangen, to establish Chemika GmbH.
Early on, Reinhold Beitlich began to devise strategic plans for the long-term development of his company: which region offered the best prospects for growth? For Beitlich, the market and know-how were decisive. The enormous concentration of textile producers in the post-war era on and along the Swabian Alb, along with the textile college in Reutlingen, the core of what is now Reutlingen University, prompted Beitlich’s strategic decision to choose Tübingen as the company’s location.
