  • From October 11 - 13, 2023, the CHT Group will be represented with its own booth at the MIAC trade fair in Lucca (Italy)
  • In focus: sustainable technologies for paper coating
  • Product innovation BIOLAY: plant-based barrier against greases and oils in the food sector

From October 11-13, 2023, the CHT Group will be exhibiting at MIAC in Lucca (Italy) and will have its own booth (booth 179) to showcase its sustainable paper coating technologies.

MIAC is the trade fair for the latest developments in the European paper industry with a focus on tissue and converting.

The CHT Group sees itself as a partner for sustainable products and solutions to optimally support paper producers in achieving their sustainability goals. These sustainability goals can be energy and resource savings, a high recycling rate, the reduction of CO2 emissions, and the use of all-natural products to support the circular economy.

BIOLAY

Therefore, the CHT Group's focus at this year's MIAC is on newly developed sustainable barrier products against greases and oils. Since the EU 2019/904 Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD) came into force, certain single-use packaging materials have been subject to mandatory labeling or have been banned altogether. Against this background, the CHT Group has initiated the new development of the innovative BIOLAY barrier products against greases and oils. BIOLAY is a plant-based barrier product against greases and oils to package food safely and sustainably while protecting the environment. The innovative product is completely free from synthetically produced compounds. It is biodegradable, free from fluorocarbons and SUPD compliant.

CHT-COAT WAX

The newly developed BIOLAY barrier products can be precisely adapted to the necessary needs with our new plant-based CHT-COAT WAX emulsions. The paraffin-free biodegradable products are also SUPD compliant.

QUIMIZIME/ZIAX

In times of high energy costs, CHT enzyme products (Quimizime/ZIAX) can significantly save refining energy. The powerful biocatalysts also ensure gentle fiber fibrillation, allowing higher strengths to be achieved.

TUBIBOND

The adhesive products of the TUBIBOND range ensure optimum further processing of the paper. The water-based adhesives offer tailor-made solutions for every application.

QUIMISOFT

Excellent softness and bulk can be achieved by using QUIMISOFT softeners in bulk or converting applications.

The CHT Group's newly developed solutions support the transition from the fossil age to a sustainable circular economy.

Visit us from October 11-13, 2023 at our booth 179 at MIAC in Lucca (Italy) and see for yourself our sustainable technologies for paper production.
