The European chemicals legislation has been transformed by the publication of the REACH Regulation in 2007. In parallel with REACH, the European Union passed the CLP Regulation to adjust the European classification and identification system to comply with UN regulations. The purpose of this change is to ensure the high-level protection of people and of the environment.
The CHT Group supports the targets of the EU despite the significant expenses involved by the modification, and we permanently work on their implementation together with other European chemical companies, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) and our customers.
Our main focus in this process is a registration of our relevant substances for the REACH Regulation by May 2018 and substances with properties of very high concern (SVHC) according to REACH.We further work on converting our products to the CLP classification by May 2015.
We would like to inform you about significant and important legal changes, e.g. regarding the chemical law, with direct impact on the handling with our products or their labelling requirement.
