Structural shell work at the new paste production building completed – roofing ceremony at CHT R. Beitlich GmbH in Dusslingen

For years CHT R. Beitlich GmbH has consistently invested in the optimisation of their own production and processing technology as well as a sustainable energy management. A complex and challenging investment project was now successfully completed in Dusslingen.

Prominent guests and many staff members joined the roofing ceremony for the completion of the shell structure for the new paste production building on October 1st, 2015. In terms of processing technology and production technology this is a sophisticated product class in the CHT product range. This modernisation increases the economic efficiency, energy efficiency and production capacity, and it represents a sustainable commitment to the production site and to the securing of jobs.

Among the approx. 115 guests the Mayor of Dusslingen, Mr. Thomas Hölsch, with some councils, district administrator Mr. Joachim Walter and representatives of the Regional Council and the Administrative District Office of Tübingen, CHT Foundation Board member Dr. Wolfgang Bongen as well as the CHT Management and representatives of construction companies attended the ceremony.

Dr. Bernhard Hettich, responsible as COO for production, logistics and purchasing at the CHT Group, welcomed the guests. In his speech he especially emphasized the strategical significance of the new building for CHT and gave an outlook for future measures.

The speech was followed by the obligatory saying of the roofing ceremony given by Mr. Thomas Knupfer, Head of K & L Bau GmbH.

Mr. Sven Laichinger, General Manager and responsible Construction Manager of K & L Bau GmbH provided interesting details on the construction project.

Günther Schätzle, Head of Engineering and Maintenance Department of CHT at the sites of Tübingen & Dusslingen finally reported about the challenges of such a  project from the CHT R. Beitlich GmbH point of view.

During ongoing operation the aggregates will have to be moved progressively from the present production hall to the new plant until spring of 2017.
