Green power for German sites

CHT R. Beitlich GmbH converts 100 % to green power

16.01.2015: CHT R. Beitlich GmbH with its headquarters in Tübingen converted to green power in all of its German sites. Since January 1st, 2015 the sites in Tübingen, Dusslingen, Geretsried and Oyten are demonstrably fed with power coming exclusively from hydroelectric power plants.
The power in use is completely from plants of renewable power generation and is certified by TÜV Nord (Northern German technical monitoring institute).

'We are aware of our social responsibility as chemical company', the Management in Tübingen states, 'therefore, besides our other company values, sustainability is of major importance for our company policy'.
The conversion to power from renewable energy sources also bears of course extra financial expense, which must be thoroughly evaluated by an energy intensive company such as CHT which faces price-sensitive competition all over the world. 'Within the framework of our sustainability commitment we consider this extra expense to be worth it', says the Management.

The complete Group has already defined and initiated numerous actions and products to promote sustainability under the slogan 'We take care for sustainability'.
