Success history

The background of CHT Brasil was due to its great interest in the Brazilian textile industry for modern products associated with the start of new investments derived from incentives trigged in the country right after a short period of imported product sale, the start of production and modernization of this segment. It was in this context that CHT Brazil was founded in 1976.

In October 1975, the headquarters in Germany placed an ad in “O Estado de São Paulo” newspaper looking for a professional with knowledge of textile auxiliary products for the development and setting up of a branch here in Brazil. The professional hired was Mr. Willi Wege, who on 04/01/1976 constituted the company on registering it in the São Paulo Board of Trade with the name of CHT Tübingen Produtos Químicos Ltda. A couple of months later, the company name was changed to its current name - CHT Brasil Química Ltda.

The company's first office was at Av. Brigadeiro Luis Antônio, near the center of São Paulo city. Manufacturing activities started in 1976 in the basement granted by the company Eloquímica, which was located at Rua Butantã, also in São Paulo. It was when the company purchased its first mixer. As of then, there was a continuous growth. In search for bigger facilities, in 1977, the company moved to Campinas in a 1,000m² shed area, with 600m² constructed area; then 2,000m² more were acquired, which would serve for product storage. Following its growth trend, it moved to Jordanésia/ Cajamar in 1982 in a 13,000 m² land and opened two sales branches, in Blumenau (Santa Catarina State) and Petrópolis (Rio de Janeiro State). In 1987 and 2000, it purchased another land totaling an 30,700 m² area, with 8,500m² constructed area.

CHT Brasil is equipped with modern production, storage and distribution facilities. With specialized employees, modern and well equipped labs for chemical analyses and application of textile products, it has all the conditions to transfer the latest production technologies to Brazil and conditions required by the Brazilian market for transferring this technology to the textile industry. Today, it has an exceptional effluent treatment, with treatment capacity of 20,000 liters/day, and a new and modernized vertical warehouse with capacity for 4,000 pallets.

With its customers as the center of all attention, CHT Brasil provides its products together with personalized technical assistance for each customer and for each product of its customers, developing for them more modern formulas that suit their needs, being able to promote excellent quality on the final product and optimized productivity in terms of operation hours, utility consumption (water and power) and an environmental-friendly operation.

Producing detergents, complexing agents, organic stabilizers, optic whiteners and bleaches, protective colloids, dispersants, equalizers, fixators, softeners, micro-emulsions, antifoaming agents, lubricants, solvents, topping oils, printing products and special finishes (ready pastes, water and oil repellent, thickeners, resins, anti-slip and anti-flame agents, adhesives and emulsions) and dyes for the textile industry, in addition to chemicals for industrial laundry, civil construction and innovative silicones. Today, CHT Brasil employs about 105 people ranging from direct employees to outsourcers.
