We have introduced our environmental policy at all levels of the company and ensure that it is implemented, maintained and constantly improved through training for all employees according to their function.

We ensure sparing use of resources and minimisation of emissions during development, manufacture and sales.

For CHT, responsible behaviour towards the environment is a strategic aim set down in the guidelines of our environmental policy. We are responsible to the world at large for our products and activities. According to our philosophy this means striving for a constant reduction in the environmental effects of our plant and products over and above legal requirements.

An example of this is our investment in highly efficient waste water and exhaust air cleaning, measures to reduce and avoid waste, the production of a hazard prevention plan and the setting up of a crisis management plan should a malfunction occur despite all precautionary measures. The quality and environmental management practiced for years by CHT is confirmed by the certification of the quality management system to DIN ISO 9001 and the certification of the environmental management system to ISO 14001.
